Apple had her annual big event for the first time at the Steve Jobs Theater and announced the new iPhone 8 and iPhone X, as well as updates to the Apple Watch and Apple TV.
The new iPhone 8 and 8 Plus were announced as the event and here are some interesting things you should know about them
1. It comes in just three colours
The new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus come only in Silver, space gray and a new gold finish.
2. It has a capacity of 64GB or 256GB
Unlike the normal models that go from 16GB to 256GB, the new iPhone 8 is either 64GB or 256GB.
3. It is water and dust resistant
The new models are precision‑engineered to resist water and dust making it easier and better to take those underwater selfies.
4. Wireless charging
The new iPhone 8 makes use of no charging cables. There is a glass back and an embedded wireless charging system, which makes the iPhone 8 designed for a wireless future.
5. Durable glass
According to Apple, the iPhone 8 introduces an all‑new glass design and it is said to be the most durable glass ever in a smartphone.
6. Stereo speakers
The iPhone 8 is said to possess stereo speakers, which are 25% louder than the speakers in the iPhone 7.
7. 12MP camera
The Apple iPhone 8 comes with a more advanced 12MP camera. There’s also a larger and faster sensor, a new colour filter, deeper pixel and optical image stabilization for photos and videos.
