FRESH RELEASED TStv FULL LIST OF CHANNELS, DECODER PRICES AND FULL LIST OF SUBSCRIPTIONS

The entry of the cable network (TSTV) into Nigeria’s media space was one of the top trending topics on the internet now. On October 1st, 2017, the 57th anniversary of Nigeria’s independence, a new cable television platform known as Telecom Satellites TV (TStv) will launch its services that very day.

TS is a Direct-To-Home (DTH) broadcast service that came to be as a result of a multi-transponder agreement between ABS and Telcom Satellites TV to deliver DTH to Nigeria on the ABS 3A satellite. The service is set to air more than 100 TV channels at first and grow to above 150 with time
Bright Echefu, STV Managing Director and CEO said: “Our vision is to provide premium video experience to Nigerians at affordable prices. Our services will enable the viewers to experience HD and SD video and internet surfing at the same time. We are the first indigenous local operator in the region to launch such a premium platform with a variety of services to Nigerians, who have been so far paying exorbitant prices to foreign operators.”

TStv is offering internet and broadcast services all in one package similar to what Zuku offers its subscribers in Kenya to effectively tame DStv in that East African country.

The TStv market entry is fostered on the theme of freedom to enjoy better and cheaper payTv services. The new station has a lower entry price and a monthly subscription window with Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) offerings. Subscribers on TStv may save themselves up to 200% in their monthly satellite TV budget as the new service provider unleash a pricing war on the existing monopoly.

I'm glad to let you know that we have got the full list of TSTV decoder channels available for subscribers to enjoy. With over 200 channels, TStv got you covered all day.
When talking about channels, TSTV offers Sports, Kids, Health, Fashion, News, Entertainment, Ethnic and religious channels in abundance. The official site for TSTV is http://www.tstvafrica.com

It's an added advantage and incentive to entice you. With that data, you can connect your PC and smartphones to the decoder via WiFi hotspot to enjoy browsing and downloading with it.

Multichoice’s Digital Satellite TV (DStv) has been around for about 22 years. Its monopoly was last challenged by HiTV which has long ceased to be in the market owing to a mix of factors that include huge debts and boardroom tussles. With HiTV out, DStv dominance. But with the announcement of the new TV provider entering the market with the Hybrid Broadcast Broadband (HBB) technology that combines both satellite and internet service for TV services, DStv is re-strategizing to sustain its market share. Already it is being speculated that the company is planning to adopt the PAYG offering, although it is yet to be announced.

Telcom Satelite TV is set to challenge the monopoly of South African Multichoice’s Digital Satellite TV (DStv) in the pay TV market. It is the next big thing in Nigeria and  TStv Africa decoder shall be on sell nationwide from 1st October! But before then, dealers outlet location addresses shall be made available for easy accessibility of the decoders. Details can be gotten at their official site www.tstvafrica.com

HOW TO FIX 'APP NOT INSTALLED' ERROR ON ANDROID DEVICES

‘App not installed’ or ‘Application not installed’ or ‘Error parsing file’ are very common error messages most Android users normally encounter while trying to install a new application on their Android smartphone.
This might appear as a big problem for the non-techie users with lesser knowledge of how Android works, but for others, it is not a problem until it happens to be the only thing between you and your newly downloaded Android app.
The good news is that there are easy ways to fix this Error message that doesn’t require you to be a tech savvy to be able to carry them out, just check out how to fix the errors below

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
One thing common with the ‘App not installed’ error message is that they always occur when you are trying to install an application from an unknown source. Maybe you downloaded the app from net or it was shared to you by a friend, as long as it is not from Google Playstore, the source is unknown to your Android device. For security measures, Android phones are set to disallow apps from unknown sources by default but you can turn it off from your phone settings. To do this, head over to you device settings then navigate to ‘Security’ and tick or toggle-on the ‘Unknown sources’ box as you can see below.
But before you install any application that is not coming from Playstore, make sure it is from a trusted and verified publisher to avoid installing malicious and harmful apps.

CAUSES OF *APP NOT INSTALLED* ERROR
√√√Bad Apk File: Bad or corrupted apk file is one of the major causes of ‘App not installed’ error message on Android phones, the file might have been corrupted during the downloading process or it didn’t download completely.
√√√Low Android Version: Some apps are specifically made to work on later versions of Android OS, so the version on your device might not be supported by the app, ‘Error parsing file’ is usually the error message you will encounter in this case.
√√√Conflicting app signature: This occurs when you want to install a newer version of an already installed app, but the newer version has a different certificate from the old one. Also, trying to install apps with no signature (unsigned apps) can land you to ‘App not installed’ error message.
√√√Not enough storage space: When the app you want to install requires more than what is left of your storage space, you can’t escape the ‘Application not installed’ error message.
√√√Wrong installation path: While some apps can be installed on both phone memory and SD card, others require to be installed only on the phone memory. Trying to install them on SD card will only show you the error message.
√√√Corrupt installation path: If the storage location you are trying to install your app on is bad or corrupted, app installation may fail.
√√√Improperly mounted SD cards: The SD card on the device may have not been mounted properly or it is not accessible because it has already been mounted on another device.

FIXING APP NOT INSTALLED ERROR ON YOUR ANDROID
Reboot your phone: As simple as it may sound, rebooting your Android device may be the solution to the App not installed problem you are facing. Doing this will free up the phone’s random access memory (RAM) which will the device to work more efficiently.
Free up some storage space: Simply delete files and uninstall apps that are no more in use to give room for your new app. If you are not convenient with this, you can option to buying SD cards with bigger storage capacity.
Uninstall the old version: If the app you are trying to install is already installed on your phone, first uninstall the app before trying to install the new one, the app’s signature maybe in conflict.
Double check your Apk file: Make sure the Apk file you are trying to install was completely downloaded or fully copied to your device.
Change installation path: Check your app’s installation location or path and preferably change it to ‘Choose automatically’ or ‘Let system decide’.
Reset App preferences: Resetting apps preferences might do the trick, you can do this by going to your phone settings -> Apps -> All and then click the menu key and select ‘Reset app permissions’ or ‘Reset app preferences’ from the drop down menu.
Check Android version: The app you are trying to install may not be compatible with the Android version on your phone, you can check this by looking up the app’s detail/information page on Playstore or on the net.
Properly mount your SD card: Check and make sure the SD card is properly mounted and accessible from your device, also make sure it is not mounted or connected else where.

If after completing the above listed steps and you are still getting the ‘App not installed’ error message, then proceed with the steps below;
Backup and format your SD card: Backup important files on your SD card to somewhere else and format the SD card.
Reset your phone to factory settings: This means to entirely wipe your smartphone so be sure to think it through before proceeding with this step. You can do this from recovery mode or through ‘Settings’ -> ‘Backup and reset’ and then click on ‘Factory data reset’.
Try to install the app again to see if the ‘app not installed’ error has been fixed.
Hope this was helpful? Don't forget to share with your friends!

REASONS WHY WE LOVE ANDROID OPERATING SYSTEMS

The debate on which is the better operating system between the iOS andAndroid operating system is a debate that will probably never be concluded, it’s just like that of Messi & Ronaldo or like that of Wizkid & Davido
However, it is impossible to deny some of the impressive features that the Android operating system offers.
HalezisTechs, shares 5 reasons we love Android devices.
1. It’s Affordable
Buying an Android device is unlikely to devastate your bank account, and for that afford-ability remains an attractive option to many.
With varieties of devices, designs and specs, Android devices really have something to suit every budget range and offers a true and enjoyable smartphone experience.
Android’s affordability is what has driven and continues to drive its worldwide dominance.
2. It Allows Customization
Another strong feature of Android devices is the fact that it allows customization. Unlike most Apple devices, Android devices let you choose any level of customization you want and this flexibility is what really appeals to most smart phone users.
This is because many smart phone users generally tend to want to explore the limits of their devices, and they typically like having the ability to freely customize and play around with features and design of their phones.
3. It Allows For Multi-Tasking
Some might argue that iOS devices also allow multi-tasking, but what they cannot deny is that the level of multi-tasking that iOS devices support, does not come anywhere near the level of multi-tasking some Android phones offer.
Samsung phones are a good examples of Android phones that have great multi-tasking features.
This is one area that Apple is more or less playing catch-up to Android devices.
4. Its Seamless Integration With Google’s Services
Android devices integrate seamlessly with Google’s varieties of services, and this works just great because Google is largely considered the ‘king of the web’.
Apple and iOS doesn’t seem to be able to keep up in this area, and have had to yield to accommodating more Google services on their platform.
Unfortunately, the seamless integration enjoyed between Android devices and Google services, is not replicated in the integration of iOS and Google services.
5. There are Widgets!
With widgets you can ‘see all the information you need at a glance’ without having to open an app.
Widgets are a major advantage Android devices have over iOS devices, mainly because even with Apple’s recent launch of widgets on their iOS devices, it still remains very limited on iOS compared to the widgets of Android devices that are more unbounded and offer more varieties.
We hope you all enjoyed this?
Drop your comments lets hear from you.

WHATSAPP IS TESTING AN UNSEND OR RECALL MESSAGES FEATURE

There's this WhatsApp feature that would save you some embarrassments. You know, when you send a chat message to the wrong person or mistakenly typed a message to someone. Unsend or recall messages feature have been there in many social apps like Telegram, WeChat and Viber, and now
Facebook-owned WhatsApp is also getting close to rolling out its own version of the feature, ‘Delete for everyone.’
‘Delete for everyone’ works as it is supposed to. It lets you wipe out messages you sent by mistake before your contact has had a chance to read them. The company has begun testing the functionality for both Android and iOS platforms, serial WhatsApp leaker WABetaInfo reports.

One thing that stands out from other social app about this feature is that the recalled texts will also disappear from the Notification Center – both on Android and iOS gadgets – as the screenshots reveal.

The Unsend function is expected to work on all types of messages, including text, images, videos, GIFs and documents. However, you won’t be able to unsend messages that have already been read or messages that were sent more than five minutes ago.
Rumors about the WhatsApp’s unsend feature first began circulating when some crafty users started noticing signs of this functionality in WhatsApp’s code. Now the company is finally testing the feature, but, still, most users won’t have access to it and will have to wait until the app enables it remotely for everyone.

Isn't it interesting? Let's keep our fingers crossed as we anticipate the update. Share with your friends!

5 COMMON MISTAKES BLOGGERS MAKE AND HOW TO FIX THEM RIGHT AWAY

I know it’s exciting to start a new blog. But, if you are too excited that’s when you might end up making some mistakes. If you are starting a website using WordPress then you have tons of free themes, widgets, and plugins available. But, choosing from this many might land you in risk of getting caught in the blogging blunder trap-having too many “bells and whistles” and forgetting about what’s important: Your readers.
So in this article, I will behigh send t few tips to avoid yourself from doing any more blogging mistakes.

Here are some common mistakes and simple fixes for them.

Mistake 1: Thinking You can do everything on your own
Great blogging platforms like WordPress, Blogger, ettc., lets you create your own site without any coding knowledge. If you are a blogger blogging just for the sake of sharing the knowledge and not interested in making money from your blog, then you can go to design a blog on your own. But if you are planning to monetize your blog and earn money out of it then: unless you are tech savvy and have some basics knowledge of HTML, CSS and web designing I recommend you to hire someone who can make your job simpler.
The advantages of hiring some one are:
You can save your precious time. Can expect good designed and responsive website. You can expect good SEO results since your website will be optimized. There are sites like Upwork.com, Dribble.com, Project4Hire.com from where you can hire high-end web designers to develop your stunning blog.

Mistake 2: Not Investing in Self-hosted site.
Before you start building your blog, one of the most important decisions you should make is whether to choose a free hosting of self- hosting for your site.
Let’s see why a self-hosted site is far better than a free hosted site.
1.Website address: I have a self-hosted website on WordPress with URL http://niftyslash.com. If free hosting was my choice then the URL would have been http://niftyslash.wordpress.com
2.Control: If you have a self-hosted site then you can use WordPress.org where you can have full control on themes, plugins, and SEO of your website.
3.Monetization: Free platforms generally limit your options when it comes to making money with advertising and affiliate marketing. Whereas self- hosted platforms don’t. But if you are not ready to pay for hosting then you can go free hosting which is fully free.

Mistake 3: Using bad SEO Strategies.
SEO is vital to any successful blogging
campaign. Therefore it should be implemented in the right manner. There are many mistakes you can make when trying to rank in search results, but let’s go over one of the most damaging blogging mistakes … Keyword Stuffing.
Think you want to rank for a particular keyword and use that keyword for few hundreds of times. Won’t it be difficult for visitors to read your content? Of course yes. This is where search engines are becoming smarter and are able to find out and penalize the websites involved in keyword stuffing.
Solution: Unfortunately, there are many bloggers out there who think they should focus first on writing for search engines before their audience. This is the wrong approach – in fact, it’s backwards.

There are few SEO practices that are too good for ncreasing your website’s ranking. I highly recommend you to go through this article and get know about best SEO practices that can benefit you.

Mistake 4: Not creating awesome
Headlines.
According to Worldometers.info, there were 4,538,982 blogs as of June 2017.
Since most of these blogs produce new articles there is a huge number of articles on the internet.
Do you think all those blog posts gets same clicks? NO.
On average, 8 out of 10 people will read headline copy, but only 2 out of 10 will click on your article. Why are only 2 headlines getting clicks? Why not all 8?
It’s because of boring headlines. A powerful heading has the potential of converting a visitors to a reader and then probably to a buyer/ subscriber.
Solution: Try impressing people with first
impressions because “First impressions last”.

Mistake 5: Not reaching your customers.
Just creating a good content and hoping that post will go viral will do you no good.
You should market your content through Content marketing. Some people have so much success with their content marketing strategies that they have hundreds of thousands of readers. Of course, great content is a big part of the equation, but the other often overlooked area of content marketing is a content promotion. Most of the professional bloggers spend 20 percent of their time developing the content and rest 80 percent of the time on promoting the content.

There are many ways, which you can make use to grow your audience:
1. Social media marketing.
2. Content marketing.
3. Using Forums.
Since there are huge people on social media and forums, you can try to reach a specific group of audience who are interested in your niche. It’s all about building confidence and brand value for
your website.

Final thoughts on blogging mistakes.
We live in a world full of cheap information. At the push of a button, we can get our eyes on for more ideas, blog posts, and news stories than we could ever possibly consume. Blogging can be complicated if you commit any of the above mistakes and never realize at the earlier stages. I have tried covering all the important blogging mistakes in this article.

I hope this article is helpful! It can also be helpful to a friend, do well to share with them!

5 SIGNS YOU'RE LIKELY SUFFERING FROM 'NOMOPHOBIA'

There is need to examine the number of hours you spend without need for your phone. Advancement in technology has impacted greatly on our ways of life. This can be observed from our attatchments to modern technological gadgets.
For many, especially the Millennial, life does not exist without technology. Thus, most people have developed a lifestyle that cannot be divorced from their mobile phone.
This psychological distortion is known as"Nomophobia” or ‘no mobile phone phobia’.
Nomophobia is described as the fear of being without or unable to access one’s mobile phone. This habit has a propensity to negatively impact all human endeavours – work, relationship and social interaction.
“People with Nomophobia actually experience feelings of fear, anxiety and some people actually report panic just at the thought of not having their phone,” said Dr Elizabeth Waterman, a clinical psychologist.
These symptoms show you may be suffering from “Nomophobia”, but you did not know.
1. Feeling extremely anxious without your phone                 If you cannot stay a few minutes away from your mobile device, then it is a sign you may be suffering from this mobile phone addiction.
Psychological instability due to not having your mobile is a symptom of Nomophobia.
2. Impulsively checking your phone for notification(s)                      Keeping a constant watch of the phone for notification(s) is a symptom of Nomophobia. Please note that this does not extend to a situation you are expecting an urgent message from someone.
3.  Having a fear of running out of battery                     Moving around with your phone charger, and always looking for power plug are signs you may be developing addictions to your mobile device.
4.   Sleeping with your phone                       When your phone is always under your pillow or a hand stretch away while sleeping, then you may be suffering from Nomophobia.
5.  Phone check as first daily action                       If your phone is the first thing you lay your fingers on or use whenever you get up from the bed then you're also suffering from Nomophobia!
These signs are rampant within the youths of this modern age. The use of mobile is way very important but when you make it your lord or your most valuable asset, then it becomes a problem.

HOW TO SEE THE PASSWORDS OF ALL WIFI NETWORKS ON YOUR ANDROID PHONES

Ever been in an annoying situation where something happens and the WiFi network(s) you previously connected on your mobile to doesn’t go through anymore hence the need to reconnect. Like that isn’t annoying enough, you don’t seem to remember the password to the network. Now that’s more annoying.
Another scenario is when a friend requests for the password of the WiFi network you are connected to and you tell him you don’t know (which is true actually) but he doesn’t believe you. Save yourself the hassles and stress of wracking your brain to remember the password to previously connected WiFi networks on your Android phone using the trick below;

Downland the "WiFi Key View" App
First off, download and install the “WiFi Key View” application from the Google Play Store or get Apk here
NOTE: To enjoy the full functionalities of the Wifi Key View app, you must first root your smartphone or ensure your smart phone is rooted. But before you root your Android device read this

Grant the App necessary permission

After installation, the root app will display a prompt asking if you want to allow or deny the WiFi Key View app root access.
Click Allow to grant the app root access as it is needed to seeing your WiFi networks passwords.
Basically, the app requires root access so it can obtain the list of network names and their respective password from the location where it is being saved in your device.

Launch the  WiFi Key View App

Launch the WiFi Key View application and on the app dashboard, it automatically displays all WiFi networks you have connected to in the past with the network names on top and the password below.
Also, at the top right corner of the app, you can simply do a network search if you have numerous networks on your list or if you remember the name of the WiFi network you seek its password. This is easier and faster in my opinion.

Other Tips

  • On the app dashboard, hold any WiFi network and a pop up menu appears.

  • From the pop up menu, click either of the first two options to copy the network’s password to your clipboard.
  • Click the third option to create a bar code for the password
  • And the last option allows you share the password to your friends via SMS, WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger, email, and many other
